La Liga heavyweights Barcelona and Real Madrid are to go head-to-head to sign £60million-rated Thiago Alcantara this summer.
The Spanish international is currently away in Russia with the national team at the World Cup but his club future appears unresolved.
Alcantara has spent five years in Germany with Bayern Munich, having joined from Barcelona for €25million (£22m) in 2013, and the Bundesliga champions will only reportedly entertain offers of €70m (£60m), according to a report in Sport.

A return to Barcelona would appear the obvious move for Thiago, given he came through the club's famed youth set-up.
While at the Nou Camp, the midfielder lifted the La Liga title twice in 2010–11 and 2012–13, the Copa del Rey in 2011–12 and the Champions League in 2010–11.
But Madrid will be looking to offset the likely departure of Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic, after he publicly insisted he wishes to leave the club.
New boss Julen Lopetegui would likely look to partner Thiago with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in a three-man midfield to rival any in world football.
The emergence of Frenchman Corentin Tolisso and the arrival of German Leon Goretzka next season has raised questions over Thiago's long-term future in Germany and a return to Spain could be a move that suits all parties.
